The Not-So-Good-Life of a Colonial Goodwife

Discover what life was really like for New England’s Colonial women. It was not all spinning wheels and quilting bees! In 2011, author Veyla Jancz-Urban purchased a farmhouse in Woodbury Connecticut unaware of what the property would reveal. This sparked the author’s fascination with colonial women which is the subject of her novel Acquiescence. Join us for an informative lecture on the little known facts of Colonial Life for women. This presentation will make you laugh and grimace, and even history buffs will learn a thing or two.
