Downloadable Audiobooks

Step 1:
Please print and read these directions before beginning.


Step 2:
Visit the Woodbridge Town Library.
Come to the Woodbridge Town Library to sign up for your free NetLibrary account. This is a one time visit. You will be able to sign into NetLibrary from home once you have created your account at the Library.

Step 3:
Create yourAccount
  • First time users must set up an account at the Woodbridge Town Library.
  • Click on the above NetLibrary Logo to go to the NetLibrary website.
  • Next click on the blue Create a Free Account link, located in the upper right hand corner of the NetLibrary page. Please note: the link is very small.
  • Fill out the online form.

    If you already have a NetLibrary account, enter your user name and password in the Log In box, then click the red LOG IN button.


Step 4:
Find and download an audiobook
There are two ways to search for downloadable audiobooks.
  • Use the Woodbridge Town Library Catalog
    1. Click the menu item on the left "Online Catalogs & Your Account", then "Woodbridge Town Library and other LION Libraries' Catalog & Your Account"
    2. Enter an author, title, or keyword AND the word "Downloadable" in the seach bar and click "GO".
    3. Choose an audiobook from the resulting list and click on the Link.
    4. Login to NetLibrary (upper right hand corner link)
    5. Click on Download this Audiobook.
    6. Choose either CD quality Recommended (for high-speed connections and will transfer to an MP3 player) or Radio quality (for dial-up connections and you can listen to your audiobook on your PC or laptop).
  • Use the NetLibrary catalog.
    1. Enter the author, title or keyword in the Basic Search field.
    2. Check the box for "Audiobook" under the Limit heading.
    3. Choose an audiobook from the resulting list.
    4. Click on Download this Audiobook.
    5. Choose either CD quality Recommended (for high-speed connections and will transfer to an MP3 player) or Radio quality (for dial-up connections and you can listen to your audiobook on your PC or laptop).


Step 5:
Specify how you want to download the file.
  • You will be prompted to open or save the file.
  • Save it to your desktop.This file is active for 21 days and may be renewed.
  • When you open the file for the first time, you will be prompted to enter your NetLibrary user name and password.
  • Once the audiobook file is on your desktop, you can transfer it to a portable device.
